El Camino Cantina –

What a great place to spend the evening with your friends, colleagues or fami- ok maybe not family. El Camino offers unlimited free corn chips n dips, delicious tacos and cheap and large margaritas during their happy hour ($7 from 5-7pm) in a lively and vibrant atmosphere.

The usual menu offers classic, mango or strawberry frozen/on the rocks margaritas but they had a raspberry special on the night I went, which was a lovely surprise because the frozen raspberry margarita was delicious!

I ordered 3 tacos for $12 and a side of rice and beans (add $2.50). I really enjoyed all my tacos – steak, pulled pork shoulder and fish – but they were all spicy! I also heard great things about the cheeseburger taco (beef mince, cheese, avo, tomatoes), which was not spicy.

Although there were free corn chips, you can’t beat corn chips with cheese and toppings. This Nacho Mama was covered with delicious melted jack cheese, beans, salsa, onions and sour cream, which made is a perfectΒ sharing snack.

What’s more, the staff were very friendly, personable and attentive. You’ll see people wearing mexican hats around the tables (provided by the restaurant) and great old school music playing in the background. If you’re looking for a casual fun night out, head to El Camino (but make sure to book!).
